First, I don't know the provenance of this image, but I can guarantee with 99% certainly it was not made for public consumption - mainly because people outside our field would unlikely know what UX or UI even refers to.

Second, if you do work in this industry, you can probably interpret what is being shown in a few seconds.

I get your new reinterpretation, but it unbalances the symmetry of the original meme and ignores the simplicity. Your new version takes time to digest because it is not readily apparent the girl is using a new bottle.

Lastly, I use this all the time when trying explain my job to people that have no idea what we do.
