I have lots of middle aged female friends that have not been approached by a man in years. You are apparently attractive enough to warrant, and subsequently, be irritated by these unwelcome approaches, but I can tell you that there are plenty of women that would be happy with any attention at all regardless of the situation. And too parrot another comment, men are generally flattered by this things even if they are not interested.
