I just can’t see paying to read ONE WRITER AT A TIME on Substack. On Medium I can read thousands of writers for $50 a a year.

The Bitcoin example is really poignant, and I can see why people who were totally into Bitcoin paying $50 a month. But most writers simply write opinion pieces. Opinion pieces can be found anywhere and there is no writer I would pay directly to read them from.
