I lived on the Northside of Chicago for 20 years- specifically in the area known as the Southport Corridor.

There are shops, restaurants, schools, and easy access to public transportation. I lived without a car for 15 years until I finally picked up a motorcycle.

Now we live near the suburban enclave of Naperville. It's very nice but almost nothing is walkable and a car is a must.

I can completely empathize with the 15-minute city concept! I miss it everyday!
