I personally bristle when I hear the title PRODUCT DESIGNER. I always think, what product did you design? The new iPhone? The latest Tesla? Maybe you designed Figma from scratch?

The title is very misleading. If we want to be honest, the position should be called PART OF A PRODUCT DESIGNER, because very few if any PDs create an entire product.
