I think companies are ruining the UX industry but requiring former people trained in UX to also do the visual design.

These new people, call Product Designers, didn't exist when I got my degree in HCI.

Now companies are trying to save money by combining UX with visual design, and problem solving is losing out to visual design so companies can save a few bucks.
