I wouldn't be too upset because any type of entertainment works the same way. Do you know how hard it is to make it in music acting or comedy? It's the same with writing. You have to strike a nerve with somebody and just writing for the sake of writing doesn't mean you're going to gain an audience.

I've had one money making story that made me over $700 but most of my stories are between $3 and $5.

The only thing I can recommend is about half the people on this platform right about how to be successful on this platform. Maybe read some of those and see what these people are doing that you're not. I think they're gone now and maybe on substack but Sean Kernan and Tim Denning have been extremely successful so you might want to track down their work.
