Make no mistake. Republicans and the NRA love dead children.

Why would I make an extreme statement? Because they REFUSE to do anything to prevent mass shooting. They frequently site the 2nd Amendment, which was ratified 232 years ago.

Why do we think this is still applicable today? Should bring back slavery and take away women's right to vote as well?

The oh so convenient part of the 2nd Amendment that the NRA and gun-rights advocates always fail ti mention in the "A well regulated Militia" part.

This does exist, and it's called the US military. We don't have citizen-soldiers anymore (unless you count the National Guard).

The 2nd Amendment was put in place to justify the revolution that just happened and to hopefully put in place mechanisms for it to happen again if necessary.

This will never happen because the general public does not have access to the same weapons as the US government. A civil war would be over in 3 days.

Finally, the 2nd Amendment says "the security of a free State." It does not mention hunting, target practice, and self-defense.

The NRA has bastardized, weaponized and warped the 2nd Amendment into meaning everything it's not.
