If you’ve been shopping lately — or scrolling online — you may have been looking right at a logo refresh and never noticed. That’s because three powerhouse brands, Walmart, Amazon, and KIND Snacks, have all rolled out new logo designs recently. And while the changes are subtle, they’re part of a bigger story about how brands evolve to stay relevant in a digital-first world.
Walmart: Brighter Sparks, Bolder Presence
Walmart’s familiar yellow “spark” has been around since 2008, symbolizing energy, optimism, and innovation. In its latest refresh, the spark remains, but the design gets a modern polish: a brighter, more saturated blue background, slightly refined shapes, and a bolder logotype.
The update is part of what Walmart calls a “comprehensive brand refresh,” aimed at signaling its evolution as a “people-led, tech-powered omnichannel retailer.” Translation? They want the brand to feel just as fresh on your phone screen as it does in a massive store aisle.
