Thanks for your very detailed response! I agree with most everything you have said.

Actually had a friend told me if you're over 40 in tech you're pretty much dead. I have been lucky enough to have a freelance gig that we're going to try to stretch out as long as possible, but I really would prefer to have a permanent job - Even if it's a long-term contract.
