The Long-Term Benefits of Hiring Older Workers
Some insights on why hiring older employees can be beneficial to companies
I got quite a few responses to my last article on searching for a job in my 50s, and one of them was incredibly insightful. Here’s an excerpt from MXM’s reply:
I have removed years from my degrees in LinkedIn and on my resume, and even dropped some early jobs or early job titles in a long running job. I also only use 20 year old pictures in LinkedIn or on my portfolio website. I am trying to make it seem I am as close to 40 as possible. I have even considered dying my hair to at least reduce the gray the last two times I was job searching.

Since writing this article, I have done some more research on job searching later in life. I found some great facts and discovered some things I never even considered. Here is what I found:
