This is not a slight on you, but it seems as of late UX has become the dumping ground for everyone that wants to change careers.
I attribute this to the rise of UX boot camps as well as the seemingly growing job market.
I'll add my two cents to the whole conversation. You are more likely to be successful as a UX Designer if you already have some experience in Graphic Design, Front End Development, are a related computer based field.
If you are a teacher or an accountant, or have a job that is not even tangentially related to UX, a boot camp is going to seem like learning a new language.
Finally, just getting a certificate is not going to get you a job. The field is overcrowded right now, and you’ll likely be competing with dozens of people for the same job — a lot that already have experience in the field.
Regardless, good luck if you decide to take the plunge!
